The bike was fairly new with a brown leather seat and grips. One of the grips had a plug missing (the plastic plus that hooks the grips into the handlebars). It is just black, and you can see the gears, but can't make a noise.

Incident Description

Sidewalk in front of an open business.

3 Hours
Incident Description:
I went into the Den Theater in Wicker Park to see a show. Afterwards, I went to have a drink with friends, planning on receiving my bike and going home once we had a drink. When I returned to the theater, my bike and U-lock were missing. I didn't look for the bike when I left the theater, assuming it was there. I'm not sure if it went missing while I was in the theater or in the bar. There was no sign of the bike or lock. I had locked the bike to a pole, as there were no available bike racks to lock it to. I have a feeling that after the play, when the area was less crowded, that a thief sawed through the U-lock, and left with the bike and lock. The bike was in great condition, and had brown leather seats and grips, making it a bit of a target. Lesson learned.
