Incident Description:
The bike was locked to a handrail/banister and around the front tire and frame. Right as you walk into our building through the main entrance. I always be use our back door so I didn't notice right away. It wasn't until 8:20 that we got home from the gym that our son told us someone had knocked on our front door. I went to see if a note or something had been left and saw the bike was missing. I went straight outside and bumped into the tenant from the second floor who, coincidently, had gotten her bike stolen in the same fashion 2 weeks ago but hers was on the second floor. She told me my bike had been missing for a few hours. She, in fact, thought I was out riding it cuz she hadn't seen it since it.
It looks like they must've cut the lock and taken it with them as the banister is still intact and there is no debris in the area and no lock. No idea as to how they could've gotten into the building as that front door is supposed to be locked, this was the same thing I thought 2 weeks ago when our neighbor's bike was stolen.
