Chicago Stolen Bike Registry

Cristian came home from work after midnight on 11.10.21 and our bikes were in the usual spot. We've lived here for 2+ years and have kept them in the same spot. When he went to our back deck at 11 a.m. this morning, he noticed both of our bikes were missing (I will file another report with my bike information as well). We live in a condo in Logan Square and only people with a key to the back gate have access. They had to go thru that door, and up two flights of stairs to get to our back door. The bikes were out of sight, in our little nook on our porch, right beside our back door. In the photo attached, you'll see the all black bike.

Last I distinctly remember seeing the bike was on Saturday, October 30. It was locked to the gate of my apartment complex with an ABUS Bordo Granit X-Plus 6500 Folding Lock on the INSIDE of the locked gate around the courtyard. I noticed it missing on the morning of Tuesday, November 9. There was no sign of the bike or lock.

The bike was stolen at Lane Tech College Prep High School, from the long fence parallel to the entry of the parking lot on Addison St.

I went in to ALDI's to buy some groceries for no more than 20 minutes, and when I came out my bike and the lock were both missing.

Bike was locked to bike racks outside school during the school day. The lock was cut and bike was taken.

Yesterday we noticed that the bike was missing from the ground level basement. We have not checked on the bike in about 3 weeks, so the incident could have happened any time over the last 3 weeks. Whoever took it entered through the back door.

Friend and I went biking in Logan square, parked in front of dental minds and andros taverna. I used a cable with u lock. Unfortunately didn’t lock it properly. Mine got stolen, hers did not get stolen. Her bike was bright blue, single speed. Mine is multi gear and silver

Bike was stolen out of my "secure" condo building parking garage - the building management does not allow us to lock the bikes to the railing in the garage, which is why it was not locked.

My son parked the bike on the street on Belmont just east of Broadway at 5:30pm. He says the bike was gone at 1pm.

Garage door was left open and thieves took the bike from the garage

Biked stored in garage. Door didn’t close behind me, was gone from 12:00pm to 1pm. Bike was taken and they left their crappy bike. Photo is exact same model but not my exact bike.

I went to sleep last night at about a quarter to 4 then woke up this morning at like 10 AM and it was gone so assuming that someone walked through the gangway and saw it sitting there and just picked it up so it has no markings it's just a very large bike that's red the handlebars are black and the grips are like an Orange reddish color.

Bike was locked to pole across from Shirley Ryan AbilityLab routinely used during working hours with u lock around frame and cable through front wheel. Left outside at 8:45a and returned at 5:40p and my cut open U lock and cable were all that was left.

Bike was stolen most likely in the middle of the night. I left it out because I thought the neighborhood was safe due to it seclusion

I didn’t even know it was gone. I thought this neighborhood was safe given all the families that live here and the gate and general secluded ness

Bike was in a locked storage room, inside of a locked garage. Both garage and storage unit were broken into and the bike, helmet, locks were all removed.

I found my previously locked storage unit inside my locked garage was compromised by crowbar and the bike inside was removed along with another Specialized bike. Bikes had U-locks and chain locks on them, of which all were removed.

The bike was last used and locked up in the same place it’s always locked in front of the apartment building I live in. I don’t know how the bike was taken. It was locked with a ulock to the fence. Both the lock and bike are missing
