Chicago Stolen Bike Registry

At about 5:30pm, I locked my bike to the newest bike rack at the corner of Washington & State right outside the Disney store. My friend locked his bike to the same rack as me at about 6:00pm. He says my bike was still there when he locked up. At 8:00pm, I returned to the bike rack and my bike was gone. It was locked with a new folding lock (ABUS Bordo 6000)

Bike was locked on the SW corner of Kinzie & Wells, underneath the L station by the Merchandise Mart. I locked it to the rack with a Kryptonite lock through the frame, with a separate cable running from the lock through the saddle. Locked the bike at 7:30pm, by 10pm it was gone. No trace of the bike or the lock.

Left my bike locked in front of mariano's to the bike rack. I went to work and when I came back 8 hrs later it was gone with no lock to be found.

Bike and lock missing sometime at night between December 25-29th.

My wife and I left town 12/23/19 for the holidays, returned on 12/29/19 @ 3:30pm CST to find my bright orange 2018 Trek FX1 bike was stolen off my 2nd floor back balcony in the Lake View East neighborhood. The thief must have climbed 10+ feet of steel beams and railing to get to where my bike was.

Bike was locked to bike rack in front of 2 N LaSalle St and stolen on 12/26/2019 between 2:30pm and 5:00pm. Lock was missing.

Middle Ages white or Hispanic heavyset man cut both locks with a dremel. Sparks going everywhere. Took him five minutes. Ok broad daylight in front of Block 37 (22 west Washington street, right by main entrance to a morningstar offices. Lots of foot traffic but no one challenges him. He rode off with it. An accomplice rode with him on a separate bike. All captured on security camera.

Bike was locked to back stairwell behind building, not visible from the alley, on Tuesday Dec 17th 5pm. Sometime between then and Saturday Dec 21st 9:45pm, part of the stairwell was removed along with the bike and u-lock. Other bikes in the same area, including 2 that were not locked down to anything, were not touched.

I threaded my thick cable lock through the back tire of the bike and through the frame at around 6pm. When I left my friend's apartment at 11pm, the bike and lock were nowhere to be found. My friend even drove me around the neighborhood to look around for it. I have two theories: either the cable was cut, or the sign I locked the bike to was not as sturdy as I though it was and someone was able to take it out of the ground and take the bike, still locked, and wheel it away by using the uninhibited front tire.

Bike was stolen from Cook County hospital bike rack

The bike was lock in the storage room inside my building. There are 2 doors with 2 differents keys needed to open this doors. The bike was lock with my 2nd bike at the bike rack. On the bike there is a rear kid seat.

Bike was locked with 2 chain locks to both wheels and frame. This rack is in plain site with constant walking traffic. Security camera on the building being reviewed.

I had two locks locked to the bike. It was locked in front of the Merchandise Mart.

I parked my bike at work for a 12 hour shift and when I returned it was gone

i locked my bike to a one way street sign on 52nd street and S Ingleside Ave at 1pm, when I came back outside at 4pm it was gone.

Locked it at night, came back and she was gone in the morning. Second Klein stolen! (First was out of DePaul bike room back in '99). Image is similar but not exact.
