On September 20th (time unknown) my tenant reported that my remote controlled overhead garage door was open. I was staying in the suburbs at the time. When I returned on September 25th, I discovered my bike was gone. I had a contractor working at my house that day who had access to the garage to install a light. I have discovered my garage door being open in the past-I have been told that other remotes in the area can open my garage door.

Got it 2nd hand at a bike auction several years ago: frame is covered in sharpie (an attempt to block out the Trek from before I bought it), the water bottle cage is broken, but I used black gaff tape to tape it back on (it's coming loose again). There's a working rear red light & red reflector just below the seat post, and a non-working white front light on the handlebars. There's a second loose light mount on the front bars too. I just put new tires on it a couple months ago, and a new seat a few weeks ago. It had a kryptonite combo lock on the seat post, and my blue & white Giro helmet on the handlebars.

Bike was locked to a metal fence outside an apartment in East Rogers Park around 7:30pm. When I left at around 10:40pm, the bike was gone. The cable had been cut and was left along with the helmet. Another friend with a bike had left not long before and didn't have any incidences, so the theft must have been close to the time I left. The bike was second-hand, and I am unsure of its exact model/year.
