I was in La Creperie on Clark right above Diversey from 12:30 till 1:45 -- my bike was locked up across the street in just inside the parking garage. when I came out it was gone. I think it was stolen. The lock was new. it was not left at the site -- I had locked the frame and the front wheel to the bike rack.

I had a cable wrapped through both tires and locked until I finished moving in to my new apartment. When I went down to get it, it was already taken and the lock was taken with it which leads me to believe they had to carry it out of the alley and was hopefully on one of the cameras back there. It was inside my building at the bottom of the stairs, the door leading outside is locked and supposedly only residents of keys.

I went out for a few hours and either left my garage door open (in Roscoe Village, West Lakeview), someone tripped the eye while it was going down or someone else opener opened my garage. The frame is step-through, and has a few minor scratches and some rusts. It has upgraded saddle, tires, and handle bar grips: Brooks leather saddle (dark brown color), Schwalbe Marathon road tires (black color), and Brooks "Ring" type leather handle bar grips (dark brown color). The bike also has a wicker basket that can be hung on the handle bar. On right handle bar, silver color ringing bell is attached. It also has detachable front light and tail light: The front light is attached underneath the basket, and the tail light is attached underneath the saddle. The bike's original tail reflector is attached, but broken in half. The bike also has double kickstander. When stolen, the bike was locked up with Kryptonite Evolution mini 5 U-lock.

The bike was locked up on the street sign pole, and the theft unscrewed the pole and took out the bike with the lock, and left the sign on the ground. Since I checked the bike's presence around midnight and it was gone when I tried to go to work this morning, I believe the incident happened between 12-5 am.
