It's from the 1970's so it's pretty well aged. A bunch of rust and chipped paint around the Free Spirit sticker. More small spots of rust around the entire frame. Drop handlebars with blue tape. Right brake lever is very loose. Missing a spoke in the front wheel. Front tire is pretty new, rear tire is very old.

My bike was locked along with my boyfriend's bike to a rack outside of Crown Hall at IIt on Saturday between 1 and 4. When we returned the bike lock was cut and my bike was missing. (his was still there) The bike lock was a generic cable lock (learned my lesson about locks this weekend). I posted about this bike on everyblock chicago and two people from the bronzeville neighborhood said they saw an african american male riding a bike that fit the description. He had "puffy" hair and was wearing a white tshirt and jeans. They saw him riding it on Saturday night. I filed a report with campus security but was not able to file a police report because I could not get through to an officer. If anyone has any info please let me know. I live in MI and was visiting for the weekend, it was not a good introduction to the city. :(

my own guess? someone saw my amazing bike, realized that it was the middle of the night with hardly anyone around, parked next to it, got out some liquid nitrogen, froze my U-lock-- broke it off and put my bike in their truck. they left my perfectly good cable on the ground. please let me know if you find it in a warehouse somewhere.
