We had our steel garage service door kicked in around 7:15am by a 15-16 year old (wearing a white tank top and plaid shorts) black kid in the 4300 block of North Keeler. He stole my women's purple and white Scott and rode it right out our front driveway gate. My husband heard him struggling to get the gate open from upstairs in the office and by the time he got down there, the kid was riding off. Another neighbor saw him in the alley while she was out watering, so he was definitely scoping things out on our block. Please keep an eye out for my bike, which I'm sure pretty I'll never see again. I've attached a picture.

Our 4 bikes were locked together to this bike rack along the lakefront trail just across the beach, with many other bikes. We were on the beach, a few yards away only. Very crowded Sunday afternoon ... Only when I unlocked the lock I realized that the cable had been cut clean and one of the bike (the nicest one) had been taken. Obviously there have no fear, this happened right in front of everybody, with heavy bike traffic on the trail.

Fixed gear bike with black frame. Front wheel is an aerospoke with gold stripe on tire. Gold drop bars with black aury grips. Leather seat with small rivets on the back and a gold seat post. Black crank with small metal pedals. Back rim is black with at least a one inch thickness rise with the same black stripe tire.The front had a sticker which said "My friend died because someone opened the door" and along the seat tube down to the cranks there was a word spelled out "TECHNICS" in stickers. The fork had little factory made dents which were colored purple and light blue on each side on top of the fork.

Incident Description: 
Behind dog park fence, the bike was leaning on the fence. I had my back to the back when a girl came up to me and asked me if I was selling drugs, I replied no and proceeded to jokingly pull out my empty pockets. In the meantime, someone quietly took the bike while I was distracted talking to the girl. The girl was african american with red/black hair. Her hair had red on her banks with at least an inch of red on her hair coming from the banks upward.

Bike was locked to bike rack at Homewood Metra station, lighted area, Harwood & Ridge Road. According to the Homewood police, six bikes were stolen that day. At least three cable locks were on the ground or in the bushes. My black metal basket was thrown in the bushes.

The bike is all black. it has a 20x1.75 Maxxis holy roller tire on the back and a 20x2.35 fly ruben tire on the front. Deore Brakes, Profile 175mm cranks with a Rennen 44t Sprocket. Profile stem. It also has an "ODI" Sticker on the handlebars. no other stickers on the whole bike. Fly bikes front hub, Sun envy Front rim.
