Chicago Stolen Bike Registry

The Bike was stolen from in front of 150 N Michigan during mid day. I was working in the building and when I came out to move it at lunch as it was about to storm and it was gone. Working with building security to get footage of the incident.

The thief broke into my apartment's laundry room window and stole my bike by cutting the lock, as well as another bike being stored on the same bike lock. He then left the lock at the scene and left through the apartment's alleyway. My apartment's security system was able to catch the suspect on video, and there is a clear image captured of the thief's face that I can provide as well. The thief was a black man wearing a black t-shirt.

Incident happened sometime between 7am Aug. 6 and 930pm Aug. 8 as I was out of town for the weekend.

I am from out of town and visiting a friend, and I left my bike in the back of my vehicle. The front wheel was removed for transport. In the morning when I went to get my bike, I found my windows smashed my bike and front wheel stolen. I filed a report online with CPD, and I am waiting for confirmation and a case number.

I locked my bike up on a bike rack on the sidewalk about 30 feet from The Walk In, when i left around 2:00am by bike and bike lock were missing.

The bike was in the back yard away from anyone's site for about an hour when it got stolen

My bike was in an enclosed garage space which should only be accessible by current tenants….but someone left a gate open. It has new silver clip pedals on it, otherwise looks exactly like the photo (minus the cat. He was not stolen).

Locked bike near a local bar, came to grab after work the next day and it was gone

I left my bike liked around 7pm, noticed it was gone 10 am. It was right in front of my apt complex, next to a blue motorcycle parked on the street. there are two other bikes nearby that are also usually parked out front. Usually the area is quiet at night, and with lollapolooza I can’t imagine there was much time for a private theft to go unnoticed.. maybe after 1am.

Bike was locked to bike rack on the campus of the University of Chicago at 4 pm on Sunday, August 1st. When I returned to bike at 7 pm, the bike lock remained and was cut. The campus had few people on it, and the bike rack was protected from street by a large hedge, giving ample cover for a thief to cut the bike lock.

Ebike lock foldylock was cut and they jumped over our gated fence and took the bike out the gate. bike is only 3 months old and has a minor scratch on top

Two Schwinn bikes locked together, one blue and one yellow, both stolen from gangway of condo building.

The bike and another blue schwinn (model year circa 1975) was stolen out of a gamgway between my building and the neighbor neat W. Belmont and Monticello

I parked my bike out front and had a handful of things to carry in so I left the bike outside for a moment. Unfortunately it was not locked, but leaned against the front of my storefront apartment. It was gone when I came back out to bring it inside.
