The bike was not locked, alas. I was in the store for about five minutes to buy a litter box.

I stopped at a pet store to buy a litter box. I leaned the bike against the store display window, did not lock it, and went inside. I looked out the window a few minutes later and did not see the bike. I went outside and spoke with a bus driver. He said that he saw a kid walk off with the bike and join another boy at the corner.
