Chicago Stolen Bike Registry

Locked bike to frame and unfortunately forgot that I left it in front of business. Realized a few days later I left it out there. Gone, no trace.

Bike was stolen from McDonalds on Cermak and Western.

We are unsure of when or how the bike was stolen. Other bikes surrounding it were untouched. The photo is a sample of how this bike originally looked as I do not have a photo of it with the modifications I made.

Bike was stolen between 02/18 at 3:00PM and 02/26 at 10:00AM

The bike was located on a 2nd floor porch within a locked/gated back yard. The bike was not locked to anything on the porch. Two other bikes are also stored on the porch and were not touched.

Bike stolen from back garage that has open access to anyone in my building

Bike was left unattended in front of 111 W Jackson Blvd. After returning 2 minutes later, it was gone.

Bike was in the garage connected to my condo unit. The only way in is with a key or remote for the garage door. I do not lock the bike once inside since it is fairly secure. I imagine someone waited until someone entered the garage with their car and then entered the garage after them while the door was still open. Two other road bikes were taken as well.

I rode my bike to work and returned Thursday evening around 6 PM. I brought the bike in to the attached parking garage that is only accessible if you have a key or remote for the garage door. I do not lock my bike once inside since all entry ways are locked.

I rode my bike to a friend's place on Monday night and arrived at 7pm. I locked my bike up in front of the building. By the time I left around 9pm, the bike and lock were gone.

Stolen sometime between Mon 2/20 8pm and Tue 2/21 9pm. Locked to a bike rack on a sidewalk of a reasonably well-traveled street, using both a Kryptonite u-lock and a Kryptoflex steel cable secured with a separate mini u-lock. There was nothing but bare ground when I came back--no lock pieces, no sawdust, nothing.

The bike was stolen sometime between 10:30 pm on 2/21/17 and 12:30 pm 2/22/17. It was in my garage, but the garage lock was broken off and when I came out in the morning, although my car was still there (it was locked, my bike was gone. The door was not closed fully on the garage, which was alarming and when I opened the garage, the first thing I saw was my bike was gone.

Bicycle was u-locked to a bike rack on the sidewalk in front of my apartment overnight. When I went down the next morning, the bicycle was gone, and there was no sign of the lock.

The bike was not locked, but it was in front of my front door behind a locked gate, The person broke the gate to get in.

Bike was locked in public parking garage attached to my building. Lock must have been cut, there may be cut marks near the bottom bracket on the bike.

Bike was locked in front of Harold Washington Library, but gone when I came to get it.
