TWO bikes locked to hitch on back of minivan in Mariano's back parking lot on Lawrence / Ravenswood. Noon on Monday, arrived to shop, parked in open spot think it would deter thieves. Ensured bikes were locked through frame to the actual hitch of the car. Arrived back after shopping for approx 1 hour to find bikes and lock gone.

I did some yard work and moved my bikes Saturday afternoon to rake up some leaves. I forgot to lock them both back up and just put the u-Locks in the milk crates attacheed to the back when I leaned them back up to the inside of our fence where we normally keep them. I didn't notice that they were not locked so we just left them there. I saw them still there Sunday evening. On Monday morning when we were about to leave for work my bike was missing the others bike was still there but not locked. I assume since my bike was closest to the gate some saw it walking by in the middle of the night and took the opportunity.
