Chicago Stolen Bike Registry

Bike stolen from 3-unit, 3-car garage. Neighbor left back door unlocked, allowing entry into garage and unlocked bike. The bike stealer had to jump a fence to get to the area that had door unlocked.

Was shopping, and come back found the bike was stolen. I actually have two locks, for front wheel and rear wheel.

I was cleaning my garage and left the space for 1 minute to fill my water bucket. Came back to find my bike gone and a Schwinn mountain bike left behind.

Bike was noticed missing after several move outs from the building. Bike storage is in common area of secure building near elevator. Another bicycle was stolen from 4th floor around same time.

This bike was in a (presumably) very secured locked storage area in the rear of the building. It is only accessible by people in the building, and there was no sign of break in the back door. It is fishy to say the least. Was last seen within the last couple days, Monday Oct 24th I believe was the last I checked on it.

I bike to work (Roosevelt University) several days a week and always park my bike on the bike racks right out in front of the building on 430 S Michigan Avenue. I lock my bike through both wheels and the frame with a cable combination lock. I have been doing this for a little over a year and have never had or imagined I would have an issue with having it parked there during the daytime and on such a busy public street. I park my bike there from about 9 am to 5 pm and I always check on it during my lunch break (around 1 pm). My bike was still there at 1 pm the day it was stolen, so it had to taken between 1 and 5 pm. The bike and lock were both missing when I came out to get it around 5 pm.

Someone broke into my garage building and stole the bike. I can't tell exactly what day and time, because I was out of town, but when I came back from the trip, the bike was gone. It was Giant Defy 2 predominantly black with the Words in yellow and white.

I bike commute with my son to his daycare. Two times a week I lock the bike overnight (Monday and Wednesday nights). I arrived Tuesday morning and found the bike missing from a covered plaza on the UIC campus.

Bike was stolen between the hrs of 11pm and 6am off our back deck. Deck faces alley, we live on the third floor. The bike was u chained to deck. The rail was broken to remove bike and lock.

Bike was locked at the Clybourn Metra stop and gone once I returned. It appears that it was someone with experience as only the rubber part over the lock and one metal piece of the U-lock was left at the scene.

Bike was stolen from locked garage through side entrance along with another bike overnight. Both bikes have wheels locks

Bike was locked along with Raleigh beach bike. Cable was wrapped around both bikes and around bike post. Just to the right of the main entrance of Lincoln Park Zoo. Presumably cable portion of lock cut and lock taken with the bike.

Bicycle was locked in front of NorthEast Entrance of Lincoln Park Zoo. Was chained to bike rack. Came out of zoo, bicycle was gone, cable was left on the ground, cut in half.

Bike was locked with 2 U-locks. One locked through front tire and frame to bike rack outside Forest Glen Metra station. It was locked up at 8:15am and gone by 5:03pm. The thief left behind part of the lock - the locking bar. It was a clean cut through the U, right at the locking bar, pretty clearly with a grinder.

Bike was left unattended for less than a minute was reported to be stolen by Asian guy
