Because of help from Find Stolen Bikes! I recovered my Trek 2300, stolen in Uptown 10 months ago. The short version: someone posted my bike for sale on Facebook, gave a serial number, and several individuals reached out to let me know. I contacted police (not expecting much help); however, a detective got back to me the same day, contacted the seller, and retrieved the bike. They weren't able to get much info about who may have initially stolen it, but I got my bike back and am grateful.
