Chicago Stolen Bike Registry

Bike was stolen from a private single car garage that accidentally had the garage door left open. The charger and bike were stolen, and damage to the car in the garage occurred at incident time as well.

Bike was in enclosed gate of apartment building not locked but behind the gate. Only members of the building and delivery drivers have access.

The garage was broken into, and the bikes were stolen. Both of the bikes in the photo were stolen. A separate report was filed for the blue one without a photo.

I had two bikes parked in my covered shared garage for the past week. This morning ~8am when my neighbor drove out they saw the bicycles in the garage. When i went to grab some stuff from my car at 5pm, the garage door was open and both bicycles had been stolen

Bike was stolen from Bike Rack at Amundsen High School during school day.

Bike & blue helmet locked to bike rack near Francisco Brown Line stop on Manor Ave just east of Ravenswood Manor Park around 8am. Bike and lock and all accessories gone by 6pm.

On August 25, 2026, at approximately 7:00 AM, I secured my gray Elby Urban Cruiser electric bicycle at the bicycle racks underneath the Ravenswood Metra station/bridge. I locked the bicycle to the bike rack and left the area to board the Metra train. I returned at approximately 5:50 PM and discovered that the bicycle was missing. The bicycle's rear wheel was also secured with a built-in wheel lock, which requires a key to unlock, so the bicycle could not have been ridden away without unlocking the rear wheel. There appear to be surveillance cameras in the immediate area that may have captured the theft. The bicycle is a gray, full-size adult electric bicycle with 27.5-inch wheels and is approximately 45 lbs. I did not give anyone permission to take or remove the bicycle. I can provide photographs and other identifying info.

Parked bike at 7:30 AM and used combo cable lock to lock bike to the bike rack. When I went to get it during my lunch hour at 12:50 PM, the bike and lock were missing.

Person came in to garage and took the bike.

Stolen from bike rack in front of Unique Thrift in Brickyard Plaza

Briefly left underneath porch in backyard between errands. Left for maybe 2-3 hours and was missing with no trace. Other unlocked bikes, belonging to neighbors, were not taken.

Bike was parked in front of the restaurant Gino’s located at the south loop. In less than 3 hours the bike was gone.

Bike was locked to a rack. Came out from dinner. Bike was gone.

Side gate of backyard was left unlocked and the bike was missing. I noticed at 4pm today that the gate was unlocked, usually my neighbors and I are good about keeping it locked.
