Chicago Stolen Bike Registry

Bike was locked to a pole on E Hubbard street under the wabash bridge between 7:45 and 8:30 pm with a heavy duty chain. Witness reports a man walking with a large bike and a scooter toward the mandala boat launch area.

At 9:30pm, I arrived to the building via my bike at Fullerton and Hamlin in Logan Square. I entered the back door via the alley, deadbolted the door, parked my bike up against the hallway wall, came upstairs, and went to sleep. By 8:15am the next morning, the door was wide open and my bike, extra lock, bike tools were gone. Unclear how the thief achieved entry to the building.

The bike was stolen out of our garage. The bike was not locked but was placed in a locked garage.

On 8/20 at approximately 5:45 am, I discovered that my electric bicycles were missing. I have lived at my current address for about five months, and during this time, my bicycles have been chained together under the stairwell in our shared alley. The alley requires either a physical key or access through the ButterflyMX app. I normally check on the bikes daily, and they were present before this morning. Other residents’ bikes remain in the same area. The missing bikes are both electric and have a distinctive Kryptonite red fabric and chain lock that is supposed to be unbreakable. The pink women's bike was a gift from my father and has sentimental value. An AirTag/location tracking had been placed in the silver Wing bike, but appears to no longer be working.

Bike was taken from locked courtyard; multiple bikes were stolen from the building

One of the gangway doors to the back of our building was left open (on Winnemac Ave). Multiple bikes were stolen from the courtyard.

Bike was locked to a "Senior Citizens" sign in front of 4875 n magnolia ave. I was out of town for a week and when I returned it was gone.

This bike along with another adult Trek was taken from our garage in Oak Park. I purchased it new back in 1997 from Village Cycle in Chicago and it still has the Village Cycle sticker on it.

Thief's broke into the bike storage room at 2555 N Clark St and stole 4 bikes. I think they used angle grinders on the u-locks. I had a kryptonite u-lock (medium level). My u-lock was missing and surveillance video didn't show my lock when they exited our garage (it wasn't on my bike).

Bike was stolen in front Acanto on S Michigan.

My bike was locked inside our locked gate. Someone jumped over the fence and cut the chain sometime during the night.

Unknown time of theft. Locked around 10 PM on 6/14/25 and I checked for it around 9 AM the next morning and it wasn't there.
