Chicago Stolen Bike Registry

Bike was locked to a rack. Came out from dinner. Bike was gone.

Bike stolen from garage.

Side gate of backyard was left unlocked and the bike was missing. I noticed at 4pm today that the gate was unlocked, usually my neighbors and I are good about keeping it locked.

Bike was locked at the CTA damen blue line station around 5:15 pm on 8/18/26.I returned at around 9:45 pm and it was gone.

Locked outside on the sidewalk since my office building is doing constrcution and the building bike racks unavalable. Unattened for 4 hours, when I went to ride home the bike and lock were missing, just a cut chain link sitting on the sidewalk.

I had brought my bike onto a CTA bus (the 72 North Ave bus), and the bike was on the bus' bike rack in the front of the bus while I was on the bus. About 20 minutes into the ride, I realized that my bike was missing from the bus rack, and alerted the driver. The driver had said a person was waiting at the bus stop at North Ave/Kingsbury St and gestured repeatedly that the bike was his, and if he could take it. He took the bike and rode away on it, going down Magnolia Ave across the bridge. The driver had asked the bus repeatedly if the bike belonged to anyone, but I did not hear them. I realized my bike was missing about 5 minutes after the theft occurred. I had not seen for myself anyone stealing the bike, and this information was told to me by the bus driver. The CTA was alerted, and police report was filed the next day. The bike was only sitting on the bus' bike rack, and was not locked to the bike rack on the bus.

Bike seen last night 8/16, gone today when I went out at 3pm to get it.

Bianchi road bike, 53 cm, with campagnolo wheels. Locked outside Joong Boo Market at 3333 N Kimball. Theft caught on store camera. White, blond guy driving Silver Toyota station wagon drove past bike, did a u turn in traffic. Got out and cut the lock with a cordless grinder in a cross body bag. Quickly loaded bike in car and drove off heading north on Kimball Ave.

The bike was locked to a bike rack in front of Sulzer Library at 4455 N. Lincoln Avenue Chicago. A brand new folding metal lock (accordion style) was used to lock the bike to the bike rack. The lock was cut and the left when the bike was stolen. There was a divy bike laying next to where the bike was locked up when we came out of the library and found the bike missing. We think that the thief rode up on the divy, dropped it, and stole the bike. The divy that was left at the scene was number 708-7695.

I was at the Logan Square farmers market and I was just outside of Lulu Café and I parked my bike there and it seemed to got stolen at 1 PM

On July 28th, I had locked my bike through the front wheel and frame along with my helmet to a bike rack in the covered vestibule area of 225 W Washington along N Franklin and W Calhoun in the Loop. When I returned to the back later that day, the back tire had a flat so I removed my personal belongings and left the bike locked until I could return with a new tube. A few days later, I broke my collarbone and was unable to deal with the bike myself. On August 16th, my brother went back to the site to retrieve the bike to find no trace of the bike, the lock, or the helmet. Building security reported that no bikes were removed by the building since the day it was locked to the rack.

I went to get medicine for less five mins and came out to it being missing

Bike was in front of my garage, all the way up the driveway, next to my side door, we left for about 10 minutes and someone walked 50 yards up to my house from the sidewalk and took the bike from the driveway.

Bike locked at ohio st Beach 600 N LAKESHORE DR Cable was cut

Bike was locked to rack under shelter at Clybourn Metra station next to parking spaces at 7:05a. Discovered missing, lock also missing, at 5:50p.

I locked my bike to a street sign in front of my building like usual at 12:30pm on Sunday, August 9 and went inside. At 3:30pm my building has video footage of a man driving up in a beige van and cutting the heavy duty metal u-lock which was left at the scene after he drove off with the bike.
