Chicago Stolen Bike Registry

While I was working my bicycle was stolen when I looked at the security camera of my work we observed that the person who stole my bicycle seemed to be a homeless man with Caucasian brown skin, who cut the lock and took the bicycle this happened around 8:30 pm today Friday, March 13

Locked to bike racks at Lawrence and Ravenswood, northwest corner that was highly visible. Accordion lock used.

Bike was stolen from a closed garage on my property.

Parked bike and locked it to a bike rack in front of city children’s academy at 8am. Lock was cut and bike was stolen at 12:15 as recorded on a security cam. Video shows man cutting the lock and riding away in a ski mask, black hoodie and blue jeans.

Bike was stolen in the time frame of a few months ago before 1/1/23. I don’t know exactly what day because it was in a storage unit in my condo building that I don’t frequent during the cold months.

Gone when returned to garage 2/28 am

Bike stolen from apartment storage room. Last used Wednesday night 2/18, found to be missing Monday morning 2/23

Two males entered a gated back yard through the alley and located the bicycles which were secured under a porch and not visible from any public areas. Video shows them searching various residences prior to finding the bicycles, then riding away with this and another bicycle.

The building is reviewing footage to determine the exact date and time it was stolen. Sometime between Noon on Feb 16th and 11am on Feb 19th. I have not filed a police report yet but plan to and will also share photos

Sometime between 2/17 at 6pm and 2/18 at 2pm, my bike was taken from behind a locked back gate from my back porch/stairs. Never been an issue leaving it outside. Someone must have gotten through the gate or left it open.

I parked my bike at a bike rack outside of Centre Physical Therapy at 2116 N Halsted St, Chicago, IL, 60614 at 11:30am. I came out at 12:04pm and my bike and lock were gone. I checked multiple businesses on the street to check for security footage, but none were pointed at the bike rack. We checked cameras to see if anyone rode away down the street with my bike, but did not see anything. I assume the bike was put in a car and driven away.

Bike was located in my garage. Someone entered the garage and stole the bicycle from there.

unknown when exactly this occured [On 2/16 victim reported: "Hi there. I had just reported a stolen bike, but apparently my condo had taken it. So I think I’m able to get it back."]

Bike stolen literally right after we moved on Friday Feb6th. Noticed it about 3 days ago.

Someone broke into the garage by forcing open the side door and cutting the cable using tools found in the garage. There are 11 bikes from the neighborhood kids stored in the garage. One was taken.

Unsure when the bike was stolen, between October 2025 and January 2026. The bike was located at the far end of the bike room, double-locked with a heavy-duty bicycle security chain and a U-lock. The locks would have to have been cut open unless the person guessed the combination. There are approximately 50 bikes in the room, and some are not locked up and the bike was at the far end from the entrance to the bike room.

Bike was locked on the bike racks at the Ravenswood Metra station under the Leland street Metra overpass.

I had left my bike locked in a locked bike corral at Loyola University in late August. I have an AirTag on my bike and so today when I opened my findmy app I saw the bike was “last seen” two weeks ago outside the ohare airport.
