Chicago Stolen Bike Registry

Bike was stolen from detached garage. The thief likely jumped/entered through the alley gate, broke into the garage side door, and stole the bike.

A red mountain Klein mountain bike was locked to a bike lock near the Davis St., Metro station on the morning of June 23, 2026. When returned to this spot around 5 PM this evening, The bike was gone and the bike lock was clearly cut with bolt cutters with the helmet only remain remaining.

I was at Mac's bar around 7:45 on June 22, 2026. I rode my bike and locked it on a bike rack across the street, next to the Division Street Liquor Store. I noticed my bike was missing from the rack around 8:30pm. After speaking with the worker at the liquor store, surveillance camera shows a middle aged white man (maybe in his 50s) ride in from the alley on a red and black bike. He pretends to dock his bike and cuts the lock from my bike, and rode off on my bike and carrying his beside him. He returns back in the alley. This occurred at 8:16-8:18pm. He is wearing white sunglasses, a backwards black hat, a black jacket, teal button up shirt, jeans, black shoes, and a backpack. He looks tall and skinny. Along with my Trek bike, I also lost my helmet, seat cushion, phone holder, bike lock, and headlight I had on the bike.

Locked bike at rack at Clybourn Metra station in morning. Returned to station in afternoon and bike was missing with no trace of bike or lock.

Stolen out of my garage

Bike was left outside Village Discount (4898 N Clark St) leaning against a pole. Lock was resting on the bike but it wasn’t locked.

Locked the bike to a bike stand between 2800 and 2812 N Lincoln Ave, went to the business at 2812 N Lincoln Ave that had no windows on the bike for an event that ran from 12-3pm left at 3:30pm and the bike was gone.

It was left in front of my residential apartment building, was not there this morning

Had my bike locked up just outside movement on montrose and checked on it to see it gone and the u lock cut clean by a power tool on the ground.

I accidentally left my garage door open for about 20 minutes. Someone walking through the alley noticed and took the opportunity to steal it. I have video of them stealing it from the neighbors camera. They definitely knew there was a camera and kept their face down. They did have a large cast on their arm and just walked in and walked the bike out of my garage and away down the alley.

Bike was locked to a fence by 21st and Morgan. Camera footage shows a man cutting the lock around 12:45pm

Road bike afternoon before, locked in normal location, came out on the morning of 6/15 to ride to work, bike and lock were gone. [on June 16, 2026, victim reported that the bike was recovered.]

Not sure when this happened.

An unidentified person broke into our condominium's deck early this morning around 5:20 am. The deck has two locked gates, one on the alley side and one in the street. It looks like he gained access through the street gangway, which was closed and locked at the time. He then proceed to steal an Olive Green Priority Apollo bicycle. Bike was not visible from the street and it is unclear how he gained access.
