A red locking cable was wrapped around the handlebars. There was a green bullet-pack bag under the saddle, and a red safety light on the back of that bag. the bike has disc brakes and 38c wide tires.

I put the bike in the door way of the Amazon store at 2728 N Clark St, Chicago, IL 60614 and went in to pickup a package. 30 seconds later and man runs in and tells me a black man in a red coat stole my bike. I took off running after him and could see him ahead of me, but could never catch him. I filed a report with the police and have asked Amazon for any video to help me find the bike. So far Amazon has provided nothing.

The bicycle was locked to my younger daughter's bike in the residence garage. On Thursday, my wife on her way to go out noticed that the Marlin 6 was missing from the garage and saw that the cable with integrated padlock was cut. She then sent me a text message about it taking a picture of the lock being cut. The garage door was blocked open and we think this is how they managed to enter, check the garage and steal the bike. We informed Saxony Properties (Rental Agency) about it.

I locked my bike at one of the bike racks in front of Lillstreet Art Center at 11am. I have locked my bike there numerous times since May 2024. Usually there are other bikes locked up there but this am mine was the only one. I left the building at 1pm and my bike was gone and another different bike was locked up where I had left mine. No sign of the lock. I went back into the building and asked the front desk folks if there was a security camera out front and they said no. I told my bike was stolen from out front.
